Basic Handlers and keepers Course

Basic is both text and hands on. Animals are present only during day 3, 4 and 5. Students will learn the fundamentals of reptile keeping, as well as basic handling techniques used.

This is a five day course covering the basics of herpetoculture.

Basic Handlers and Keepers is designed to give students the understanding of what these animals basic requirements are, as well as demonstrate safe means of maintaining these animals as pets.

Habitat, caging, cleaning, safe feeding, handling and transportation are all demonstrated to the students, as well as a one on one, performed by the students.

No actual feeding will take place in class.

Students will be evaluated on both in class work and final exam

Certificates will be presented on the last day of class.
